Harwin expands EZ-BoardWare range as industry switches to SMT solutions

Harwin announced at Productronia that it has expanded its EZ-BoardWare range of surface mount PCB hardware products. The company says this follows the industry’s move away from traditional ‘fixes’ associated with cable management, EMC, test and batteries which are often bulky and usually require costly secondary assembly operations.

Harwin’s EZ-BoardWare family of surface mount products improve manufacturing flexibility, reduce manufacturing costs, save space and improve in-field maintenance. They are designed as elegantly simple solutions to overcome frustrating challenges concerning functions. Replacing through-hole or bolt-down compromises, EZ-BoardWare components can all be surface mounted along with other components, saving space as well as reducing time and costs.
Recent additions to the product range include: the EZ-SMT Board Socket, a cheaper alternative to turned contact PCB sockets for less demanding applications; new low profile EZ-Link jumper links, now just 0.97mm high; and a broader range of cable management EZ-Cable Clips which can handle two wires or coaxial cable, even providing grounding for improved EMC performance.
