Intended to prevent unsafe operation of the controlled application, the Class B self-test library supports household appliances that require certification according to the latest IEC 60335 or IEC 60730 standards and their respective EN alternatives. The library contains detailed tests and diagnostic methods to help ensure safe operation of the microcontroller. According to Energy Micro, the free availability of the library simplifies the effort to obtain Class B certification.
