Aventyn uses Plessey’s EPIC sensor for mobile ECG

Plessey Semiconductor and Aventyn announced a collaboration agreement at the 2011 mHealth Summit in Washington, DC that will see Aventyn using Plessey’s EPIC sensor technology.
The technology will be integrated in a mobile platform to capture non-intrusive ECG measurements personalised to individual heart failure patients. The measured ECG data is displayed on the patient smartphone device and integrated with Vitalbeat, a software application for remote monitoring and chronic disease management of patients diagnosed with heart failure and related comorbidities.
